Love Built It. ADPi Supports It.
From the time of our founding, Alpha Delta Pi has believed in the importance of giving back to our community. A dedication to philanthropy guides our members to spend time in the service of those who need it most. Our international organization’s commitment to Ronald McDonald House Charities has led to the donation of over 15 million dollars over the course of our partnership. More than 350 Ronald McDonald Houses in 64 countries help keep families with seriously ill or injured children together when they need it most by offering them a comfortable, temporary residence in proximity to a medical facility.
How does Theta Epsilon support RMHC?
Throughout the year, we support our philanthropy in four major ways.
- Pop-Tabs/Pop-Tab Wars: We collect the tabs off of soda cans and then turn them into our local RMH. From there those pop tabs can help families stay at the house for no cost. This challenge not only goes to the sisters in ADPi, but anyone can collect tabs for RMH!
- Mr. Cutie Pi: We host this event on campus every year to raise money for RMH. Men from Methodist University compete for the title of Mr. Cutie Pi by participating in a male pageant. It is a fun event for everyone, not only to support RMH but the male contestants as well.
- Pie-a-Pi: We host this event in the spring to raise money for RMH. Students can donate money to pie their favorite ADPi with a plate of whipped cream.
- RMH Visits: Throughout the year, our chapter visits RMH of Durham and Wake, which is located in Durham, NC. We take house tours, make dinner/desserts for the residents and also interact with the families. It is a great way to give back to our philanthropy.
